Sunan Abi Dawud, 4986

Narrated Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah: I and my father went to the house of my father-in-law from the Ansar to pay a sick visit to him. The time of prayer came. He said to someone of his relatives: O girl! bring me water for ablution so that I pray and get comfort. We objected to him for it. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Get up, Bilal, and give us comfort by the prayer

Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah : Mon père et moi sommes allés chez mon beau-père parmi les Ansar pour lui rendre visite alors qu’il était malade. L’heure de la prière est arrivée. Il a dit à l’un de ses proches : « Ô jeune fille ! Apporte-moi de l’eau pour les ablutions afin que je prie et que je trouve du réconfort. » Nous lui avons reproché ces paroles. Il a dit : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : “Lève-toi, Bilal, et apporte-nous du réconfort par la prière.” »
