Sunan Abi Dawud, 487

Ibn ‘Abbas reported :Banu Sa’d b. Bakr sent Qamam b. Tha’labah to the apostle of Allah (May peace be upon him). He came to him and made his camel kneel down near the gate of the mosque. He then tied its leg and entered the mosque. The narrator then reported in a similar way. He then said: Who among you is the son of Abd al-Muttalib? The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) replied: I am the son of Ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib. He said: O son of ‘Abd al-Muttalib. The narrator then reported the rest of the tradition

Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas : Les Banu Sa’d ibn Bakr envoyèrent Qamam ibn Tha’labah auprès du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Il vint à lui, fit agenouiller son chameau près de la porte de la mosquée, puis attacha sa patte et entra dans la mosquée. Le rapporteur a ensuite raconté de façon similaire. Il dit alors : « Qui parmi vous est le fils d’Abd al-Muttalib ? » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ répondit : « Je suis le fils d’Ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib. » Il dit : « Ô fils d’Abd al-Muttalib. » Le rapporteur a ensuite raconté la suite du récit
