Sunan Abi Dawud, 4791

A’isha said :A man asked permission to see the Prophet (ﷺ), and he said: He is a bad son of the tribe, or: He is a bad member of the tribe. He then said : Give him permission. Then when he entered, he spoke to him leniently. `A’isha asked : Apostle of Allah! You spoke to him leniently while you said about him what you said! He replied: The one who will have the worst position in Allah’s estimation on the Day of Resurrection will be the one whom people left alone for fear of his ribaldry

Rapporté par Aïsha رضي الله عنها : Un homme a demandé la permission de voir le Prophète ﷺ, et il a dit : « C’est un mauvais fils de la tribu », ou : « C’est un mauvais membre de la tribu. » Puis il a dit : « Laissez-le entrer. » Quand il est entré, il lui a parlé avec douceur. Aïsha a demandé : « Envoyé d’Allah ! Tu lui as parlé avec douceur alors que tu as dit de lui ce que tu as dit ! » Il a répondu : « Celui qui aura la pire place auprès d’Allah au Jour de la Résurrection sera celui que les gens évitent par crainte de sa grossièreté. »
