Sunan Abi Dawud, 47

Narrated Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Were it not hard on my ummah, I would order them to use the tooth-stick at the time of every prayer. AbuSalamah said: Zayd ibn Khalid used to attend the prayers in the mosque with his tooth-stick on his ear where a clerk carries a pen, and whenever he got up for prayer he used it

Rapporté par Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : « Si cela n’était pas difficile pour ma communauté, je leur aurais ordonné d’utiliser le siwak à chaque prière. » Abu Salamah a dit : Zayd ibn Khalid venait à la mosquée pour la prière avec un siwak accroché à son oreille, comme un secrétaire porte un stylo, et chaque fois qu’il se levait pour prier, il l’utilisait
