Sunan Abi Dawud, 4598

‘A’ishah said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited this verse: “He it is who has sent down to thee the Book: in it are verses basic or fundamental . . . .” Up to “men of understanding”. She said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then said: When you see those people who follow that which is allegorical in the Quran, those are the people whom Allah has named (in the Quran). So avoid them

Rapporté par Aishah (la mère des croyants) رضي الله عنها : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a récité ce verset : « C’est Lui qui t’a révélé le Livre : il s’y trouve des versets fondamentaux… » jusqu’à « les gens doués d’intelligence ». Elle a dit : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a ensuite dit : « Lorsque vous voyez des gens qui suivent ce qui est allégorique dans le Coran, ce sont ceux qu’Allah a désignés (dans le Coran). Éloignez-vous d’eux. »
