Sunan Abi Dawud, 4157

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:Maimunah, wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) reported him as saying: Gabriel (peace be upon him) promised to visit me last night, but he did not visit me. Then it occurred to him that there was a pup under his bed. So he ordered and it was turned out. He then got water in his hand and sprinkled it on its place. When Gabriel (ﷺ) met him, he said: We do not enter a house which contains a dog or a picture. When the morning came, the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered to kill dogs. He ordered to kill the dog which guarded a small orchard, and left the dog which guarded the big orchard

Rapporté par Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه : Maymuna, épouse du Prophète ﷺ, a rapporté qu’il a dit : « Gabriel (paix sur lui) m’avait promis de venir me voir cette nuit, mais il n’est pas venu. » Puis il s’est rendu compte qu’il y avait un chiot sous son lit. Il a donc ordonné qu’on le fasse sortir, puis il a pris de l’eau dans sa main et en a aspergé l’endroit. Quand Gabriel ﷺ l’a rencontré, il a dit : « Nous n’entrons pas dans une maison où il y a un chien ou une image. » Le matin venu, le Prophète ﷺ a ordonné de tuer les chiens. Il a ordonné de tuer le chien qui gardait un petit jardin, mais a laissé celui qui gardait un grand jardin
