Sunan Abi Dawud, 4066

Narrated 'Amr b. Suh'aib: On his father's authority, said that his grandfather said: We came down with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) from a turning of a valley. He turned his attention to me and I was wearing a garment dyed with a reddish yellow dye. He asked: What is this garment over you? I recognised what he disliked. I then came to my family who were burning their oven. I threw it (the garment) in it and came to him the next day. He asked: Abdullah, what have you done with the garment? I informed him about it. He said: Why did you not give it to one of your family to wear, for there is no harm in it for women

Rapporté par ‘Amr ibn Suh’aib رضي الله عنه, d’après son père, d’après son grand-père : Nous descendions avec le Messager d’Allah ﷺ d’un tournant dans une vallée. Il s’est tourné vers moi alors que je portais un vêtement teint en jaune-rouge. Il a demandé : « Quel est ce vêtement que tu portes ? » J’ai compris qu’il n’aimait pas cela. Je suis alors rentré chez ma famille, qui était en train de chauffer le four, j’ai jeté le vêtement dedans et je suis revenu le lendemain. Il a demandé : « Abdullah, qu’as-tu fait de ce vêtement ? » Je lui ai expliqué. Il a dit : « Pourquoi ne l’as-tu pas donné à une femme de ta famille ? Il n’y a pas de mal à ce que les femmes le portent. »
