Sunan Abi Dawud, 3990

Narrated Umm Salamah, wife of the Prophet (ﷺ): The reading of the following verse by the Prophet (ﷺ) goes: "Nay, but there came to thee (ja'atki) my signs, and thou didst reject them (fakadhdhabti biha) ; thou wast haughty (wastakbarti) and became one of those who reject Faith (wa kunti). Abu Dawud said: This is a mursal tradition, i.e. the link of the Companion has been omitted, for the narrator al-Rabi' did not meet Umm Salamah

Rapporté par Umm Salamah, épouse du Prophète ﷺ : La récitation de ce verset par le Prophète ﷺ était : « Non, mais Mes signes sont venus à toi (ja’atki), et tu les as rejetés (fakadhdhabti biha) ; tu as été orgueilleuse (wastakbarti) et tu es devenue de celles qui rejettent la foi (wa kunti). » Abu Dawud a dit : Ceci est un hadith mursal, c’est-à-dire que le lien avec le Compagnon a été omis, car le narrateur al-Rabi’ n’a pas rencontré Umm Salamah
