Sunan Abi Dawud, 3734

Jabir said:We were with Prophet (ﷺ) and he asked for something to drink. A man from the company asked: Should we not give you nabidh (drink made from dates) to drink ? He replied : Yes . The man went quickly and bought a cup of nabidh. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Why did you not cover it up even by putting a piece of wood on it ? Abu Dawud said: Al-Asma'i's version has: "You put it on it

Rapporté par Jabir : Nous étions avec le Prophète ﷺ et il a demandé à boire. Un homme du groupe a proposé : « Ne devrions-nous pas te donner du nabidh (boisson à base de dattes) ? » Il a répondu : « Oui. » L’homme est parti rapidement et a rapporté une coupe de nabidh. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Pourquoi ne l’as-tu pas couverte, même avec un morceau de bois ? » Abu Dawud a dit : La version d’Al-Asma’i dit : « Tu le mets dessus. »
