Sunan Abi Dawud, 3655

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: Are you not surprised at AbuHurayrah? He came and sat beside my apartment, and began to narrate traditions from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) making me hear them. I was saying supererogatory prayer. He got up (and went away) before I finished my prayer. Had I found him, I would have replied to him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not narrate traditions quickly one after another as you narrate quickly

Rapporté par Aisha, la mère des croyants رضي الله عنها : « N’es-tu pas étonné d’Abu Hurayrah ? Il est venu s’asseoir près de mon appartement et a commencé à rapporter des traditions du Messager d’Allah ﷺ pour que je les entende, alors que j’étais en train de faire une prière surérogatoire. Il est parti avant que je termine ma prière. Si je l’avais trouvé, je lui aurais répondu. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ ne rapportait pas les traditions rapidement les unes après les autres comme tu le fais. »
