Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: A man belonging to Usbadhiyin of the people of Bahrayn, who were the Magians of Hajar, came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and remained with him (for some time), and then came out. I asked him: What have Allah and His Messenger of Allah decided for you? He replied: Evil. I said: Silent. He said: Islam or killing. AbdurRahman ibn Awf said: He accepted jizyah from them. Ibn Abbas said: The people followed the statement of AbdurRahman ibn Awf, and they left that which I heard from the Usbadhi

Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Abbas : Un homme des Usbadhiyin du peuple de Bahrayn, qui étaient les mages de Hajar, est venu voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ, est resté quelque temps avec lui, puis est sorti. Je lui ai demandé : « Qu’ont décidé Allah et Son Messager pour toi ? » Il a répondu : « Le mal. » J’ai dit : « Tais-toi. » Il a dit : « L’islam ou la mort. » AbdurRahman ibn Awf a dit : « Il a accepté la jizyah d’eux. » Ibn Abbas a dit : « Les gens ont suivi la parole d’AbdurRahman ibn Awf et ont laissé de côté ce que j’ai entendu de l’Usbadhi. »
