Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:The verse: "So eat of (meats) on which Allah's name hath been pronounced" and the verse: "Eat not of (meats) on which Allah's name hath not been pronounced" were abrogated, meaning an exception was made therein by the verse: "The food of the people of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto themRapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Le verset : « Mangez donc de ce sur quoi le nom d’Allah a été prononcé » et le verset : « Ne mangez pas de ce sur quoi le nom d’Allah n’a pas été prononcé » ont été abrogés, c’est-à-dire qu’une exception a été faite par le verset : « La nourriture des gens du Livre vous est permise, et la vôtre leur est permise. »Grades given by scholars
