Sunan Abi Dawud, 274

Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) there was a woman who had an issue of blood. So Umm Salamah asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to give a decision about her. He said: She should consider the number of nights and days during which she used to menstruate each month before she was afflicted with this trouble and abandon prayer during that period each month. When those days and nights are over, she should take a bath, tie a cloth over her private parts and pray

Rapporté par Umm Salamah, la mère des croyants رضي الله عنها : À l’époque du Messager d’Allah ﷺ, il y avait une femme qui avait des saignements. Umm Salamah demanda alors au Messager d’Allah ﷺ de donner un avis à son sujet. Il dit : « Elle doit compter le nombre de jours et de nuits pendant lesquels elle avait ses règles chaque mois avant d’avoir ce problème, et ne pas prier pendant cette période chaque mois. Quand ces jours et nuits sont passés, elle doit se laver, mettre un tissu sur sa partie intime et prier. »
