Sunan Abi Dawud, 2622

Narrated The uncle of AbuRafi ibn Amr al-Ghifari: I was a boy. I used to throw stones at the palm-trees of the Ansar. So I was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) who said: O boy, why do you throw stones at the palm-trees? I said: eat (dates). He said: Do not throw stones at the palm trees, but eat what falls beneath them. He then wiped his head and said: O Allah, fill his belly

L’oncle d’Abu Rafi ibn Amr al-Ghifari a rapporté : J’étais un garçon. J’avais l’habitude de jeter des pierres sur les palmiers des Ansar. On m’a amené au Prophète ﷺ qui m’a dit : « Ô garçon, pourquoi jettes-tu des pierres sur les palmiers ? » J’ai répondu : « Pour manger (des dattes). » Il a dit : « Ne jette pas de pierres sur les palmiers, mais mange ce qui tombe en dessous. » Puis il m’a caressé la tête et a dit : « Ô Allah, remplis son ventre. »
