Ibn 'Abbas said:When the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of 'Ashurah and commanded us to fast on it, they (i.e. Companions) said: Messenger of Allah, this is a day which is considered great by Jews and Christians ? Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنه : Quand le Prophète ﷺ a jeûné le jour de ‘Ashura et nous a ordonné de jeûner ce jour-là, les Compagnons ont dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, c’est un jour que les Juifs et les Chrétiens considèrent comme important. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « L’année prochaine, nous jeûnerons aussi le 9e jour de Mouharram. » Mais l’année suivante, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est décédé
