Sunan Abi Dawud, 231

Abu Hudhaifah reported :The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) met me on one of the streets of medina while I was sexually defiled. I retreated and went away. I then took a bath and came to him. He asked : Where were you, O Abu Hurairah? I replied : As I was sexually defiled, I disliked to sit in your company without purification. He exclaimed: Glory be to Allah! A Muslim is not defiled. He (Abu Dawud) said : The version of this tradition reported by Bishr has the chain: Humaid reported from Bakr

Rapporté par Abu Hudhaifah : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ m’a rencontré dans une des rues de Médine alors que j’étais en état d’impureté majeure. Je me suis éloigné et je suis parti. Ensuite, j’ai pris un bain rituel et je suis revenu vers lui. Il m’a demandé : « Où étais-tu, ô Abu Huraira ? » J’ai répondu : « Comme j’étais en état d’impureté, je n’aimais pas rester en ta compagnie sans m’être purifié. » Il s’est exclamé : « Gloire à Allah ! Un musulman n’est pas impur. » (Abu Dawud a dit : La version de cette tradition rapportée par Bishr a la chaîne suivante : Humaid a rapporté de Bakr)
