Sunan Abi Dawud, 2110

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If anyone gives as a dower to his wife two handfuls of flour or dates he has made her lawful for him. AbuDawud said: This tradition has been narrated by Abdur Rahman ibn Mahdi, from Salih ibn Ruman, from Abu al-Zubayr on the authority of Jabir as his own statement (not going back to the Prophet). It has also been transmitted by AbuAsim from Salih ibn Ruman , from AbuzZubayr on the authority of Jabir who said: During the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) we used to contract temporary marriage for a handful of grain. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been transmitted by Ibn Juraij from Abu al-Zubair on the authority of Jabir similar to the one narrated by Abu 'Asim

Rapporté par Jabir ibn Abdullah رضي الله عنه : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Si quelqu’un donne à sa femme comme dot deux poignées de farine ou de dattes, elle lui est permise. » Abu Dawud a précisé : Ce récit a aussi été rapporté par Abdur Rahman ibn Mahdi, de Salih ibn Ruman, d’Abu al-Zubayr, de la part de Jabir, comme étant sa propre parole (et non celle du Prophète). Il a aussi été transmis par Abu Asim, de Salih ibn Ruman, d’Abu al-Zubayr, de la part de Jabir, qui a dit : « Du vivant du Messager d’Allah ﷺ, nous contractons un mariage temporaire pour une poignée de grains. » Abu Dawud a ajouté : Ce récit a aussi été transmis par Ibn Juraij, d’Abu al-Zubayr, de la part de Jabir, de façon similaire à celui rapporté par Abu Asim
