Sunan Abi Dawud, 2038

A client of Sa’ad said “Sa’ad found some slaves from the slaves of Medina cutting the trees of Medina.” So, he took away their property and said to their patrons “I heard the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) prohibiting to cut any tree of Medina”. He said “If anyone cuts any one of them, what is taken from him will belong to the one who seizes him.”

Un client de Sa’d a dit : « Sa’d a trouvé des esclaves de Médine en train de couper les arbres de Médine. » Il leur a confisqué leurs biens et a dit à leurs maîtres : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ interdire de couper un arbre de Médine. » Il a ajouté : « Si quelqu’un en coupe un, ce qui lui est pris appartiendra à celui qui l’a attrapé. »
