Sunan Abi Dawud, 1383

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Seek it (laylat al-Qadr) in the last ten days of Ramadan. Seek it on the ninth, seventh and fifth night. I (AbuNadrah) said: You know counting better than us, AbuSa'id. He said: Yes. I asked: What do you mean by the ninth, seventh and fifth night? He said: When the twenty-first night passes, the night which follows it is the night; when the twenty-third night passes, the night which follows it is the seventh; when the twenty-fifth passes, the night which follows it is the fifth. Abu Dawud said: I do not know whether anything remained hidden from me or not

Rapporté par Abu Sa’id al-Khudri رضي الله عنه : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Cherchez-la (la nuit du destin) pendant les dix dernières nuits du Ramadan. Cherchez-la la neuvième, la septième et la cinquième nuit. » J’ai dit (Abu Nadrah) : « Tu sais mieux compter que nous, Abu Sa’id. » Il a dit : « Oui. » J’ai demandé : « Que veux-tu dire par la neuvième, la septième et la cinquième nuit ? » Il a répondu : « Quand la vingt-et-unième nuit est passée, la nuit qui suit est la neuvième ; quand la vingt-troisième nuit est passée, la nuit suivante est la septième ; quand la vingt-cinquième est passée, la nuit suivante est la cinquième. » Abu Dawud a dit : Je ne sais pas si quelque chose m’a échappé ou non
