Sunan Abi Dawud, 107

Humran said :I saw ‘Uthman b. ‘Affan performing ablution. He then narrated the same tradition. In this version there is no mention of rinsing the mouth and snuffing up water. This traditions adds : “He wiped his head three times. He then washed his feet three times. He then said : I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performing ablution in like manner. He (the Prophet) said: He who performs ablution less than this, it is sufficient for him. 73 The narrator did not mention prayer (in this version)

Rapporté par Humran : J’ai vu ‘Uthman b. ‘Affan faire ses ablutions. Il a ensuite rapporté la même tradition. Dans cette version, il n’est pas mentionné qu’il s’est rincé la bouche ni qu’il a nettoyé son nez. Cette version ajoute : « Il a essuyé sa tête trois fois. Ensuite, il a lavé ses pieds trois fois. Puis il a dit : “J’ai vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ faire ses ablutions de cette manière.” » Il (le Prophète) a dit : « Celui qui fait ses ablutions avec moins d’eau que cela, cela lui suffit. » Le narrateur n’a pas mentionné la prière dans cette version
