AbuBakr ibn AbdurRahman said:The messenger of Marwan whom he sent to Umm Ma'qil reported to me. She said: AbuMa'qil accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) during hajj. When he came (to her) she said: You know that hajj is incumbent on me. They walked until they visited him (i.e. the Prophet) and she asked (him): Messenger of Allah, hajj is due from me, and AbuMa'qil has a camel. AbuMa'qil said: She spoke the truth, I have dedicated it to the cause of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Give it to her, that is in the cause of Allah. So he gave the camel to her. She then said: Messenger of Allah, I am a woman who has become aged and ill. Is there any action which would be sufficient for me as my hajj? He replied: umrah performed during Ramadan is sufficient as hajj

AbuBakr ibn AbdurRahman a dit : L’émissaire de Marwan, qu’il avait envoyé auprès de Umm Ma'qil, m’a rapporté ceci. Elle a dit : AbuMa'qil a accompagné le Messager d’Allah ﷺ pendant le hajj. Quand il est revenu (vers elle), elle a dit : « Tu sais que le hajj m’est obligatoire. » Ils ont marché jusqu’à ce qu’ils rencontrent le Prophète ﷺ et elle lui a demandé : « Ô Messager d’Allah, le hajj m’est dû, et AbuMa'qil a un chameau. » AbuMa'qil a dit : « Elle a dit la vérité, je l’ai consacré pour la cause d’Allah. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Donne-le-lui, cela fait partie de la cause d’Allah. » Il lui a donc donné le chameau. Elle a ensuite dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je suis une femme âgée et malade. Y a-t-il une action qui me suffirait comme hajj ? » Il a répondu : « La ‘Umrah accomplie pendant Ramadan équivaut au hajj. »
