سنن النسائي 461

It was narrated from Ibn Muhairiz that a man from Banu Kinanah who was called Al-Mukhdaji heard a man in Ash-Sham, who was known as Abu Muhammad, saying that Witr was obligatory. Al-Mukhdaji said:"In the morning I went to 'Ubadah bin As-Samit, and I met him while he was on his way to the Masjid. I told him what Abu Muhammad said, and 'Ubadah said: 'Abu Muhammad is wrong. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'Five prayers are those that Allah has decreed for (His) slaves, whoever does them, and does not neglect any of them out of disregard toward them, will have a promise from Allah that He will admit him to Paradise. And whoever does not to them will have no such promise from Allah; if He wills he will punish him and if He wills He will admit him to Paradise

Rapporté par Ibn Muhairiz : Un homme de Banu Kinanah, appelé Al-Mukhdaji, a entendu un homme en Syrie, connu sous le nom d’Abu Muhammad, dire que le Witr était obligatoire. Al-Mukhdaji a dit : "Le matin, je suis allé voir ‘Ubadah bin As-Samit, que j’ai rencontré alors qu’il se rendait à la mosquée. Je lui ai raconté ce qu’Abu Muhammad avait dit, et ‘Ubadah a dit : 'Abu Muhammad se trompe. J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : 'Cinq prières sont celles qu’Allah a prescrites à Ses serviteurs. Celui qui les accomplit et n’en néglige aucune par négligence a la promesse d’Allah qu’Il le fera entrer au Paradis. Mais celui qui ne les accomplit pas n’a aucune promesse d’Allah : s’Il veut, Il le punira, et s’Il veut, Il le fera entrer au Paradis
