It was narrated that Abu Bakr bin Hafs said:Abu Salamah and I entered upon Fatimah bint Qais, who said: "My husband divorced me and he did not give me any accommodation or maintenance." She said: "He left with me ten measures (Aqfizah) (of food) with a cousin of his: Five of barley and five of dates. I went to the Messenger of Allah and told him about that. He said: 'He has spoken the truth.' And he told me to observe my 'Iddah in the house of so-and-so." And her husband had divorced her irrevocably

Rapporté par Abu Bakr bin Hafs : Abu Salamah et moi sommes entrés chez Fatimah bint Qais, qui a dit : "Mon mari m’a divorcée et il ne m’a donné ni logement ni pension." Elle a ajouté : "Il m’a laissée avec dix mesures (Aqfizah) de nourriture chez un de ses cousins : cinq de blé et cinq de dattes. Je suis allée voir le Messager d’Allah et je lui ai raconté cela. Il a dit : 'Il a dit la vérité.' Et il m’a ordonné de faire ma 'Iddah dans la maison d’untel." Son mari l’avait divorcée de façon définitive
