It was narrated that Abu Bakr -the son of Abu Al-Jahm- said:"I heard Fatimah bint Qais say: 'My husband sent word to me that I was divorced, so I put on my garments and went to the Prophet. He said: 'How many times did he divorce you?' I said: 'Three.' He said: 'You are not entitled to maintenance. Observe your 'Iddah in the house of your paternal cousin Ibn Umm Maktum, for he is blind and you can take off your garments there. And when your 'Iddah is over let me know.'" This is an abridgment

Rapporté par Abu Bakr, fils d'Abu Al-Jahm : J'ai entendu Fatimah bint Qais dire : "Mon mari m'a envoyé un message pour me divorcer, alors j'ai mis mes vêtements et je suis allée voir le Prophète. Il a dit : 'Combien de fois t'a-t-il divorcée ?' J'ai dit : 'Trois fois.' Il a dit : 'Tu n'as pas droit à une pension. Observe ta période de 'Iddah dans la maison de ton cousin paternel Ibn Umm Maktum, car il est aveugle et tu peux enlever tes vêtements là-bas. Et quand ta 'Iddah sera terminée, préviens-moi.'"
