It was narrated from Anas:"The Messenger of Allah invaded Khaibar and we prayed Al-Ghadah (Fajr) there (early in the morning) when it was still dark. Then the Prophet rode and Abu Talha rode, and I was riding behind Abu Talha. The Prophet of Allah passed through the lane of Khaibar quickly, and my knee was touching the thigh of the Messenger of Allah, and I could see the whiteness of the thigh of the Prophet. When he entered the town he said: 'Allahu Akbar, Khaibar is destroyed! Whenever we approach a (hostile) nation to fight, evil will be the morning for those who have been warned.' He said this three times. The people came out for their work." (One of the narrators) 'Abdul-'Aziz said: "They said: 'Muhammad (has come)!'" 'Abdul-'Aziz said: "Some of our companions said: 'With his army.'" "We conquered Khaibar and gathered the captives. Dihyah came and said: 'O Prophet of Allah, give me a slave girl from among the captives.' He said: 'Go and take a slave girl.' He took Safiyyah bint Huyayy. Then a man came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you gave Dihyah Safiyyah bint Huyayy, and she is the chief mistress of Quraizah and An-Nadir, and she is fit for no one but you.' He said: 'Call him to bring her.' When the Prophet saw her, he said: 'Take any other slave girl from among the captives.'" He said: "The Prophet of Allah set her free and married her." (One of the narrators) Thabit said to him: "O Abu Hamzah, what dowry did he give her?" He (Anas) said: "Herself; he set her free and married her." He said: "While on the road, Umm Sulaim fitted her out and presented her to him in the night, and the following morning he was a bridegroom. He said: 'Whoever has anything, let him bring it.' He spread out a leather cloth and men came with cottage cheese, dates, and ghee, and they made Hais, and that was the Walimah (wedding feast) of the Messenger of Allah

Rapporté par Anas : Le Messager d’Allah a attaqué Khaybar et nous avons prié la prière de l’aube là-bas alors qu’il faisait encore sombre. Ensuite, le Prophète est monté à cheval, Abu Talha aussi, et j’étais assis derrière Abu Talha. Le Prophète d’Allah a traversé rapidement une ruelle de Khaybar, mon genou touchait la cuisse du Messager d’Allah, et je voyais la blancheur de sa cuisse. Quand il est entré dans la ville, il a dit : “Allahu Akbar, Khaybar est détruite ! Chaque fois que nous approchons d’un peuple pour combattre, quel mauvais matin pour ceux qui ont été avertis.” Il a répété cela trois fois. Les gens sont sortis pour aller travailler. ‘Abdul-‘Aziz a dit : “Ils ont dit : ‘Muhammad (est venu) !’” ‘Abdul-‘Aziz a ajouté : “Certains de nos compagnons ont dit : ‘Avec son armée.’” Nous avons conquis Khaybar et rassemblé les captifs. Dihyah est venu et a dit : “Ô Prophète d’Allah, donne-moi une esclave parmi les captives.” Il a répondu : “Va et prends une esclave.” Il a pris Safiyyah bint Huyayy. Puis un homme est venu voir le Prophète et a dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah, tu as donné à Dihyah Safiyyah bint Huyayy, c’est la maîtresse des Quraizah et des An-Nadir, elle ne convient qu’à toi.” Il a dit : “Fais-le venir avec elle.” Quand le Prophète l’a vue, il a dit : “Prends une autre esclave parmi les captives.” Le Prophète d’Allah l’a affranchie et l’a épousée. Thabit lui a demandé : “Ô Abu Hamzah, quelle dot lui a-t-il donnée ?” Anas a répondu : “Elle-même ; il l’a affranchie et épousée.” Sur la route, Umm Sulaim l’a préparée et l’a présentée au Prophète pendant la nuit, et le lendemain matin il était jeune marié. Il a dit : “Que celui qui a quelque chose l’apporte.” Il a étendu une nappe en cuir, et des hommes sont venus avec du fromage, des dattes et du beurre, et ils ont préparé du Hais, ce fut le festin de mariage du Messager d’Allah
