سنن النسائي 2569

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said:"Shall I not tell you of the best of the people in status?" We said: "Yes. O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "A man who rides his horse in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, until he dies or is killed. Shall I not tell you of the one who comes after him (in status)?" We said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" He said; "A man who withdraws to a mountain pass and establishes Salah, and pays Zakah, and keeps away from the evil of people. Shall I not tell you of the worst of people?" We said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "The one who asks for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, but does not give (when he is asked) for His sake

Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Le Messager d'Allah a dit : "Voulez-vous que je vous parle de la meilleure personne en statut ?" Nous avons dit : "Oui, ô Messager d'Allah !" Il a dit : "Un homme qui monte son cheval dans la voie d'Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux, jusqu'à ce qu'il meure ou soit tué. Voulez-vous que je vous dise qui vient après lui ?" Nous avons dit : "Oui, ô Messager d'Allah !" Il a dit : "Un homme qui se retire dans un col de montagne, accomplit la prière, donne la zakat et se tient à l'écart du mal des gens. Voulez-vous que je vous dise qui est la pire des personnes ?" Nous avons dit : "Oui, ô Messager d'Allah !" Il a dit : "Celui qui demande au nom d'Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux, mais ne donne pas (quand on lui demande) pour Allah
