It was narrated that Hisham bin 'Amir said:"We complained to the Messenger of Allah on the day of Uhud, saying: 'O Messneger of Allah, it is too difficult for us to dig a grave for each person.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Dig graves and make them good and deep, and bury two or three in one grave.' They said: 'Who should we put in first, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Put in first the one who knew more Qur'an."' He said: "My father was the third of three in one grave

Rapporté par Hisham bin 'Amir : Nous nous sommes plaints au Messager d'Allah le jour de Uhud en disant : "Ô Messager d'Allah, il est trop difficile pour nous de creuser une tombe pour chaque personne." Le Messager d'Allah a dit : "Creusez des tombes, faites-les bien et profondes, et enterrez deux ou trois personnes dans une même tombe." Ils ont demandé : "Qui devons-nous mettre en premier, ô Messager d'Allah ?" Il a dit : "Mettez en premier celui qui connaissait le plus de Coran." Il a ajouté : "Mon père était le troisième de trois dans une même tombe
