صحيح مسلم 5903

Abu Salama reported:I used to see (such horrible dreams) that I fell ill. I saw Abu Qatada who also said: I used to see dreams which made me sick until I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Good dreams are from Allah, so if any one of you sees which he likes he should not disclose it to one but whom he loves, but if he sees something which he does not like he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from the mischief of the Satan and its mischief (i.e. of the dream), and he should not relate it to anyone, then it would not harm him

Rapporté par Abu Salama رضي الله عنه : Je faisais des rêves si terrifiants que j’en tombais malade. J’ai vu Abu Qatada, qui a aussi dit : « Je faisais des rêves qui me rendaient malade, jusqu’à ce que j’entende le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : “Les bons rêves viennent d’Allah. Si l’un de vous voit dans un rêve quelque chose qui lui plaît, qu’il n’en parle qu’à ceux qu’il aime. Mais s’il voit quelque chose qui lui déplaît, qu’il crache trois fois sur sa gauche et demande la protection d’Allah contre le mal du diable et le mal du rêve, et qu’il n’en parle à personne, alors cela ne lui fera aucun mal.” »
