صحيح مسلم 5833

Nafi' reported on the authority of his father that as 'Abdullah b. 'Umar saw one day (standing) near the ruin (of his house) the slough of a snake and said (to the people around him):Pursue this snake and kill it. Abu Lubaba Ansari said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). He forbade the killing of snakes found in the houses except the short-tailed snakes and those having streaks upon them, for both of them obliterate eyesight and affect that which is in the wombs of (pregnant) women

Rapporté par Nafi‘, d’après son père : Un jour, ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar a vu une mue de serpent près des ruines de sa maison et a dit aux personnes présentes : « Poursuivez ce serpent et tuez-le. » Abu Lubaba al-Ansari a dit : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Il a interdit de tuer les serpents trouvés dans les maisons, sauf ceux à queue courte et ceux qui ont des bandes, car ces deux-là font perdre la vue et nuisent à ce qui est dans le ventre des femmes enceintes. »
