صحيح مسلم 4913

It has been reported on the authority of Jabir that a man said:Messenger of Allah, where shall I be if I am killed? He replied: In Paradise. The man threw away the dates he had in his hand and fought until he was killed (i. e. he did not wait until he could finish the dates). In the version of the tradition narrated by Suwaid we have the words:" A man said to the Prophet (ﷺ). on the day of Uhud

Rapporté par Jabir رضي الله عنه : Un homme demanda : « Ô Messager d’Allah, où serai-je si je suis tué ? » Il répondit : « Au Paradis. » L’homme jeta alors les dattes qu’il tenait à la main et se lança dans le combat jusqu’à être tué (c’est-à-dire qu’il n’a même pas attendu de finir ses dattes). Dans la version rapportée par Suwaid, il est précisé : « Un homme a dit au Prophète ﷺ, le jour de Uhud… »
