A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported:I felt jealous of the women who offered themselves to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said: Then when Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed this:" You may defer any one of them you wish, and take to yourself any you wish; and if you desire any you have set aside (no sin is chargeable to you)" (xxxiii. 51), I ('A'isha.) said: It seems to me that your Lord hastens to satisfy your desireRapporté par Aïcha (la mère des croyants) رضي الله عنها : J’étais jalouse des femmes qui se proposaient au Messager d’Allah ﷺ et j’ai dit : « Lorsque Allah, le Très-Haut et le Glorieux, a révélé ce verset : “Tu peux différer celle que tu veux d’entre elles, et accueillir celle que tu veux ; et si tu désires reprendre celle que tu avais écartée, il n’y a pas de faute pour toi” (33:51), il m’a semblé que ton Seigneur se hâte d’accomplir tes désirs.
