صحيح مسلم 3581

Ali (Allah be pleased with him) reported having said this:Messenger of Allah, why is it that you select (your wife) from among the Quraish, but you ignore us (the nearest of the kin)? Thereupon he said: Have you anything for me (a suitable match for me)? I said; Yes, the daughter of Hamza, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: She is not lawful for me, for she is the daughter of my brother by reason of fosterage

Rapporté par Ali رضي الله عنه : J’ai dit au Messager d’Allah ﷺ : « Pourquoi choisis-tu (ton épouse) parmi les Quraysh, mais tu ne nous considères pas, nous qui sommes tes plus proches parents ? » Il a répondu : « As-tu quelqu’un à me proposer ? » J’ai dit : « Oui, la fille de Hamza. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Elle ne m’est pas permise, car elle est la fille de mon frère par allaitement. »
