صحيح مسلم 1573

Yahya b. Umayya said:I told 'Umar b. al-Khattab that Allah had said:" You may shorten the prayer only if you fear that those who are unbelievers may afflict you" (Qur'an, iv. 101), whereas the people are now safe. He replied: I wondered about it in the same way as you wonder about it, so I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about it and he said: It is an act of charity which Allah has done to you, so accept His charity

Rapporté par Yahya b. Umayya رضي الله عنه : J’ai dit à ‘Umar b. al-Khattab que Allah a dit : « Vous pouvez raccourcir la prière seulement si vous craignez d’être attaqués par les mécréants » (Coran, 4:101), alors que les gens sont maintenant en sécurité. Il a répondu : « Je me suis posé la même question que toi, alors j’ai demandé au Messager d’Allah ﷺ à ce sujet, et il a dit : “C’est une faveur qu’Allah vous a accordée, acceptez donc Sa faveur.” »
