Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from a man of the family of Khalid ibn Asid that he said to Abdullah ibn Umar, "Abu Abd ar-Rahman, we find the fear prayer and the prayer when settled mentioned in the Qur'an, but we do not find any mention of the travelling prayer in it." Ibn Umar said, "Son of my brother! Allah the Mighty and Majestic sent us Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and we know nothing. We only do as we saw him doing

Ibn Chéhab a rapporté qu'un homme de la famille de Khaled Ibn Assid demanda à Abdallah Ibn Omar: «Ô Abou Abdel-Rahman! Nous trouvons, bien mentionnées dans le Coran, la prière en cas de danger, et celle d'en ville; mais nous ne trouvons pas que celle du voyage y est»? Ibn Omar répondit: « Ô fils de mon frère! Allah à lui la puissance et la gloire nous a envoyé Mouhammad r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) alors que nous ne savions rien (de notre religion). Nous ne faisions, que ce que nous le voyions faire»
