Malik related to me from al-Walid ibn Abdullah ibn Sayyad that al-Muttalib ibn Abdullah ibn Hantab al-Makhzumi informed him that a man asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "What is backbiting?" Al-Mouttaleb Ibn Abdallah Ibn Hantab Al-Makhzoumi a rapporté qu'un homme demanda à l'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) au sujet de la médisance. L'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) lui répondit: «C'est le fait de dire, concernant l'homme, ce qu'il répugne entendre».
