Yahya related to me from Malik from Yazid ibn Khusayfa that Amr ibn Abdullah ibn Kab as-Salami told him that Nafi ibn Jubayr told him that Uthman ibn Abi al-As came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Uthman said that he had a pain which was enough to kill him. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Rub it with your right hand seven times and say, 'I take refuge with the might of Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel.' Nafe' Ibn Joubair a rapporté que Osman Ibn Al-'As alla chez l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) et lui dit: «J'éprouve une douleur qui me fait sentir la mort». L'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) lui répondit: «Passe ta main là où tu sens la douleur, par sept fois, et dis: «Je demande la puissance d'Allah, et son pouvoir contre ce que j'éprouve de douleur» "ahou dhou bi ezzati 'llahi wa koudratihi min char ajidou". Osman ajouta: «En disant cela. Allah m'a dissipé ma douleur, et étant tel je ne cesse de conseiller ma famille d'en faire pareillement»
