Yahya related to me from Malik that Ibn Shihab said, "I have heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to a man from Thaqif who had ten wives when he became muslim, 'Take four and separate from the rest

Ibn Chéhab a rapporté: «On m'a appris que l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) avait dit à un homme de Thaqif, qui avait suivi l'Islam alors qu'il avait dix femmes, et juste quand cet homme de Thaqif fut partisan de l'Islam: «De garder quatre d'entre elles, et de divorcer d'avec les autres»
