It was narrated from Ubayy bin Ka'b that:The Messenger of Allah called for water and performed ablution once. He said: "This is the minimum requirement of ablution' or he said: 'The ablution of one who, if he does not perform this ablution, Allah will not accept his prayer." Then he performed ablution washing each part twice, and he said: 'This is the ablution of one who, if he performs it, Allah will give him two shares of reward." Then he performed ablution washing each part three times, and said: 'This is my ablution and the ablution of the Messengers who were sent before me

Rapporté par Ubayy bin Ka'b : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a demandé de l’eau et a fait ses ablutions une seule fois. Il a dit : "C’est le minimum pour les ablutions", ou il a dit : "Les ablutions de celui dont, s’il ne les fait pas, Allah n’acceptera pas la prière." Ensuite, il a fait ses ablutions en lavant chaque membre deux fois, et il a dit : "Ce sont les ablutions de celui qui, s’il les fait, Allah lui donnera une double récompense." Puis il a fait ses ablutions en lavant chaque membre trois fois, et il a dit : "Ce sont mes ablutions et celles des Messagers envoyés avant moi
