It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:"The Messenger of Allah said: 'The rewards of the good deeds that will reach a believer after his death are: Knowledge which he taught and spread; a righteous son whom he leaves behind; a copy of the Qur'an that he leaves as a legacy; a mosque that he built; a house that he built for wayfarers; a canal that he dug; or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death

Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Les récompenses des bonnes actions qui atteignent un croyant après sa mort sont : le savoir qu’il a enseigné et transmis, un fils pieux qu’il laisse derrière lui, un exemplaire du Coran qu’il lègue, une mosquée qu’il a construite, une maison qu’il a bâtie pour les voyageurs, un canal qu’il a creusé, ou une aumône qu’il a donnée de son vivant alors qu’il était en bonne santé. Ces actions continueront à lui profiter après sa mort. »
