Narrated Salama bin Al-Akwa`:That he visited Al-Hajjaj (bin Yusuf). Al-Hajjaj said, "O son of Al-Akwa`! You have turned on your heels (i.e., deserted Islam) by staying (in the desert) with the bedouins." Salama replied, "No, but Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) allowed me to stay with the bedouin in the desert." Narrated Yazid bin Abi Ubaid: When `Uthman bin `Affan was killed (martyred), Salama bin Al-Akwa` went out to a place called Ar- Rabadha and married there and begot children, and he stayed there till a few nights before his death when he came to Medina

Rapporté par Salama bin Al-Akwa` : Il a rendu visite à Al-Hajjaj (bin Yusuf). Al-Hajjaj lui a dit : « Ô fils d’Al-Akwa` ! Tu as tourné le dos (c’est-à-dire tu as quitté l’islam) en restant (dans le désert) avec les bédouins. » Salama a répondu : « Non, mais le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) m’a permis de vivre avec les bédouins dans le désert. » Rapporté par Yazid bin Abi Ubaid : Quand `Uthman bin `Affan a été tué (martyrisé), Salama bin Al-Akwa` est parti dans un endroit appelé Ar-Rabadha, il s’y est marié, a eu des enfants et y est resté jusqu’à quelques jours avant sa mort, quand il est revenu à Médine
