صحيح البخاري 5354

Narrated Sa`d:The Prophet (ﷺ) visited me at Mecca while I was ill. I said (to him), "I have property; May I bequeath all my property in Allah's Cause?" He said, "No." I said, "Half of it?" He said, "No." I said, "One third of it?" He said, "One-third (is alright), yet it is still too much, for you'd better leave your inheritors wealthy than leave them poor, begging of others. Whatever you spend will be considered a Sadaqa for you, even the mouthful of food you put in the mouth of your wife. Anyhow Allah may let you recover, so that some people may benefit by you and others be harmed by you

Rapporté par Sa`d : Le Prophète (ﷺ) est venu me rendre visite à La Mecque pendant que j’étais malade. Je lui ai dit : « J’ai des biens ; puis-je tout donner pour la cause d’Allah ? » Il a dit : « Non. » J’ai dit : « La moitié ? » Il a dit : « Non. » J’ai dit : « Un tiers ? » Il a dit : « Un tiers, c’est bien, mais c’est encore beaucoup. Il vaut mieux laisser tes héritiers riches que de les laisser pauvres à demander aux autres. Tout ce que tu dépenses sera considéré comme une aumône pour toi, même la bouchée de nourriture que tu mets dans la bouche de ta femme. Quoi qu’il en soit, Allah peut te guérir, et ainsi certains profiteront de toi et d’autres pourront être affectés par toi. »
