صحيح البخاري 4445

Aisha added, "I argued with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) repeatedly about that matter (i.e. his order that Abu Bakr should lead the people in prayer in his place when he was ill), and what made me argue so much, was, that it never occurred to my mind that after the Prophet, the people would ever love a man who had taken his place, and I felt that anybody standing in his place, would be a bad omen to the people, so I wanted Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to give up the idea of choosing Abu Bakr (to lead the people in prayer)

Rapporté par `Aisha : J’ai insisté auprès du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) à plusieurs reprises au sujet de cette affaire (c’est-à-dire son ordre que Abu Bakr dirige la prière à sa place quand il était malade), et ce qui m’a poussée à insister autant, c’est que je n’aurais jamais imaginé qu’après le Prophète, les gens pourraient aimer un homme qui prendrait sa place. Je pensais que toute personne se tenant à sa place porterait malheur aux gens, alors je voulais que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) renonce à l’idée de choisir Abu Bakr pour diriger la prière
