Narrated Anas bin Malik:The Prophet (ﷺ) saw some sputum in the direction of the Qibla (on the wall of the mosque) and he disliked that and the sign of disgust was apparent from his face. So he got up and scraped it off with his hand and said, "Whenever anyone of you stands for the prayer, he is speaking in private to his Lord or his Lord is between him and his Qibla. So, none of you should spit in the direction of the Qibla but one can spit to the left or under his foot." The Prophet (ﷺ) then took the corner of his sheet and spat in it and folded it and said, "Or you can do this

Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a vu des crachats en direction de la Qibla (sur le mur de la mosquée) et il n’a pas aimé cela ; cela se voyait sur son visage. Il s’est alors levé, les a enlevés avec sa main et a dit : « Quand l’un de vous se tient pour prier, il parle en privé à son Seigneur ou son Seigneur est entre lui et sa Qibla. Donc, personne ne doit cracher en direction de la Qibla, mais il peut cracher à sa gauche ou sous son pied. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a ensuite pris le coin de son vêtement, a craché dedans, l’a replié et a dit : « Ou vous pouvez faire cela. »
