صحيح البخاري 3939

Narrated Abu Al-Minhal `AbdurRahman bin Mut`im:A partner of mine sold some Dirhams on credit in the market. I said, "Glorified be Allah! Is this legal?" He replied, "Glorified be Allah! By Allah, when I sold them in the market, nobody objected to it." Then I asked Al-Bara' bin `Azib (about it) he said, "We used to make such a transaction when the Prophet came to Medina. So he said, 'There is no harm in it if it is done from hand to hand, but it is not allowed on credit.' Go to Zaid bin Al- Arqam and ask him about it for he was the greatest trader of all of us." So I asked Zaid bin Al-Arqam., and he said the same (as Al-Bara) did

Rapporté par Abu Al-Minhal `AbdurRahman bin Mut`im : Un de mes associés a vendu des dirhams à crédit au marché. J’ai dit : « Gloire à Allah ! Est-ce permis ? » Il a répondu : « Gloire à Allah ! Par Allah, quand je les ai vendus au marché, personne ne s’y est opposé. » J’ai alors demandé à Al-Bara' bin `Azib à ce sujet, il a dit : « Nous faisions ce genre de transaction quand le Prophète est arrivé à Médine. Il a dit : Il n’y a pas de mal si cela se fait de la main à la main, mais ce n’est pas permis à crédit. Va voir Zaid bin Al-Arqam et demande-lui, car c’était le plus grand commerçant d’entre nous. » Je suis donc allé voir Zaid bin Al-Arqam, et il a dit la même chose qu’Al-Bara
