صحيح البخاري 3397

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to Medina, he found (the Jews) fasting on the day of 'Ashura' (i.e. 10th of Muharram). They used to say: "This is a great day on which Allah saved Moses and drowned the folk of Pharaoh. Moses observed the fast on this day, as a sign of gratitude to Allah." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I am closer to Moses than they." So, he observed the fast (on that day) and ordered the Muslims to fast on it

Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : Quand le Prophète (ﷺ) est arrivé à Médine, il a trouvé les Juifs en train de jeûner le jour de ‘Achoura’ (le 10e de Muharram). Ils disaient : « C’est un grand jour où Allah a sauvé Moïse et noyé le peuple de Pharaon. Moïse a jeûné ce jour-là pour remercier Allah. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « J’ai plus de liens avec Moïse qu’eux. » Alors il a jeûné ce jour-là et a ordonné aux musulmans de le jeûner aussi
