صحيح البخاري 1822

Narrated `Abdullah bin Abu Qatada:That his father said "We proceeded with the Prophet (ﷺ) in the year of Al-Hudaibiya and his companions assumed Ihram but I did not. We were informed that some enemies were at Ghaiqa and so we went on towards them. My companions saw an onager and some of them started laughing among themselves. I looked and saw it. I chased it with my horse and stabbed and caught it. I wanted some help from my companions but they refused. (I slaughtered it all alone). We all ate from it (i.e. its meat). Then I followed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) lest we should be left behind. At times I urged my horse to run at a galloping speed and at other times at an ordinary slow speed. On the way I met a man from the tribe of Bani Ghifar at midnight. I asked him where he had left Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) . The man replied that he had left the Prophet (ﷺ) at a place called Ta'hin and he had the intention of having the midday rest at As-Suqya. So, I followed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) till I reached him and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I have been sent by my companions who send you their greetings and compliments and ask for Allah's Mercy and Blessings upon you. They were afraid lest the enemy might intervene between you and them; so please wait for them." So he did. Then I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We have hunted an onager and have some of it (i.e. its meat) left over." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) told his companions to eat the meat although all of them were in a state of Ihram

Rapporté par ‘Abdullah ibn Abu Qatada : Son père a dit : « Nous avons voyagé avec le Prophète (ﷺ) l’année d’Al-Houdaybiya et ses compagnons ont pris l’Ihram mais pas moi. On nous a informés que des ennemis étaient à Ghaiqa, alors nous sommes allés vers eux. Mes compagnons ont vu un âne sauvage et certains se sont mis à rire ensemble. Je l’ai vu, je l’ai poursuivi à cheval, je l’ai poignardé et attrapé. J’ai voulu de l’aide de mes compagnons mais ils ont refusé. (Je l’ai abattu tout seul). Nous en avons tous mangé (c’est-à-dire sa viande). Ensuite, j’ai suivi le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) de peur d’être laissé derrière. Parfois, je faisais galoper mon cheval, parfois il allait doucement. En chemin, j’ai rencontré un homme de la tribu des Bani Ghifar à minuit. Je lui ai demandé où il avait laissé le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). Il répondit qu’il l’avait laissé à un endroit appelé Ta’hun et qu’il comptait se reposer à As-Suqya à midi. J’ai donc suivi le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) jusqu’à ce que je le rejoigne et je lui ai dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Mes compagnons m’ont envoyé vers toi pour te transmettre leurs salutations et demander la miséricorde et la bénédiction d’Allah sur toi. Ils avaient peur que l’ennemi ne s’interpose entre toi et eux, alors attends-les, s’il te plaît.” Il l’a fait. Puis j’ai dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Nous avons chassé un âne sauvage et il nous en reste (de la viande).” Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit à ses compagnons de manger la viande bien qu’ils étaient tous en état d’Ihram
