سنن أبي داود 764

Narrated Jubayr ibn Mut'im: Jabir saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observing prayer. (The narrator Amr said: I do not know which prayer he was offering.) He (the Prophet) said: Allah is altogether great; Allah is altogether great; Allah is altogether great; and praise be to Allah in abundance; and praise be to Allah is abundance; and praise be to Allah in abundance. Glory be to Allah in the morning and after (saying it three times). I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil, from his puffing up (nafkh), his spitting (nafth) and his evil suggestion (hamz). He (Amr) said: His nafth it poetry, his nafkh is pride, and his hamz is madness

Rapporté par Jubayr ibn Mut‘im رضي الله عنه : Jabir a vu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ en train de prier. (Le rapporteur Amr a dit : Je ne sais pas quelle prière il accomplissait.) Le Prophète a dit : « Allah est vraiment le plus grand ; Allah est vraiment le plus grand ; Allah est vraiment le plus grand ; et louange à Allah en abondance ; et louange à Allah en abondance ; et louange à Allah en abondance. Gloire à Allah le matin et après (il l’a dit trois fois). Je cherche refuge auprès d’Allah contre le diable maudit, contre son souffle (nafkh), sa salive (nafth) et ses mauvaises suggestions (hamz). » Amr a expliqué : Son nafth, c’est la poésie, son nafkh, c’est l’orgueil, et son hamz, c’est la folie
