Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal: Two men reviled each other in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) and one of them became excessively angry so much so that I thought that his nose will break up on account of excess of anger. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I know a phrase which, if he repeated, he could get rid of this angry feeling. They asked: What is it, Messenger of Allah? He replied: He should say: I seek refuge in Thee from the accursed devil. Mu'adh then began to ask him to do so, but he refused and persisted in quarrelling, and began to enhance his anger

Rapporté par Mu'adh ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه : Deux hommes se sont insultés en présence du Prophète ﷺ et l’un d’eux s’est mis tellement en colère que j’ai cru que son nez allait éclater à force de colère. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Je connais une parole qui, s’il la disait, ferait disparaître cette colère. » Ils ont demandé : « Quelle est cette parole, Messager d’Allah ? » Il a répondu : « Il doit dire : “Je cherche refuge auprès de Toi contre le diable maudit.” » Mu'adh a alors commencé à lui demander de le faire, mais il a refusé, a continué à se disputer et sa colère a augmenté
