Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and AbuBakr gave forty lashes for drinking wine and Umar made it eighty. And all this is sunnah, the model and standard practice. Rapporté par Ali ibn Abu Talib رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et Abu Bakr ont donné quarante coups pour la consommation de vin, et Umar en a mis quatre-vingts. Tout cela fait partie de la sunna, la pratique modèle et établie.
