La tradition mentionnée ci-dessus a aussi été rapportée par Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه par une autre chaîne de transmetteurs avec le même sens. Abu Dawud a dit : Ceci a été abrogé. Quand Ahmad ibn Hanbal a été interrogé sur le fait de prendre un bain après avoir lavé un mort, je l’ai entendu dire : Les ablutions suffisent.
